This is an ageless issue and has been argued on since the advent of modernization and the adaptation of laptops as alternative to desktops. There is even an existing friction between MAC users and Windows supporters which has caused riot on campuses, social networks and internet message boards. Complaints from each party are outpouring and directly brutal towards each other. When you choose to wade into the chaos in between, you are sure to be involved into an indefinite war. And we are about to join the fray so please follow the warning and make sure you strap your bulletproof vest tightly because we are about to wade into it.

But before we get into trouble, let us first review the basics rules of war. Remember that we are comparing Apple running OS Macintosh – there are neither hackers here nor fraud copies – and other computers running on Windows OS. While PC stands for any personal computer including Apple brands, we are using it as a common vernacular for other shorthand Windows machines.

1. Designs

Although the outward appearance may be of little value since these laptops styles are almost similar, brands have also given emphasis on their looks. Apple designs are known to create sleek and branded design. It seeks hipster approach. On the other hand, PCs have hundreds of designs because of the different brands. It ranges from utilitarian to minimalist to futuristic layouts.

1. Reliability

When it comes to reliability, MAC vs PC debate have made great strides in development. Through the majority of PC are known to be vulnerable to malware and viruses, Apple has also shown weakness to more sophisticated attacks. Ultimately, “both MAC and ordinary PC brands have shown developments with strengthened protection from other malicious hints”, as emphasized by The Peterson Group chairman, Ian Peterson.

For many users, cost is key. You want to get the absolute most for your money. In years past, PCs dominated the budget-friendly market, with Macs ranging anywhere from $100 to $500 more than a comparable PC. Now this price gap has lessened significantly. However, you will notice a few key features that Macs tend to lack in order to provide a lower price: memory and hard drive space.

1. Compatibility

Since Apple do not have direct retailers in many developing cities, most people are using other brands which makes it hard for MAC owners to transfer files from and to them.  In Jakarta, Indonesia, for instance, one particular school resolutely does not allow any use of MAC laptops inside the classroom since it would be challenging and time consuming to use it. However, naturally, both systems continue to develop faster and more powerful versions of these operating systems that are increasingly user-friendly and more compatible with handheld devices.
